"Asha's powerful combination of creative and organizational skills are the assets behind her solid reputation as a reliable project leader and Executive Producer that you can count on. She delivers every time!" -Jay Levine, Executive Producer, Fashion Television & Founder of J.L Production
"There isn't an App for success ["... it’s all in the details".] That's where you'll find Asha, producing creativity so invisibly you never see all the places she goes. No matter what the back story, Asha brings you to the front of the line with smarts and style." -Tim Forbes
Thank you for visiting my website.
During these moments of radical uncertainty, it is more important than ever to connect with others who share our concerns, attend to our challenges, and find the courage, solidarity and hope these times require within each other. In short, I work as an independent producer/community organizer on projects within the public sector and not-for-profits, sometimes startups, to leverage initiatives and deliver exciting community programs. In 2021, I embarked on a journey to learn as much as possible about the NFP sector and turned my practice into a social enterprise. It thrives on its own and doesn't necessarily depend on any one member to function. People in a community rally together to co-create, to co-inspire, to share discoveries and learnings. There's a sense of shared transformation.
I’m passionate about business practices where profit merges with purpose, circular economy, local community initiatives with a global incentive for creating positive environmental and social impact. Through CEC London Chapter and personal choices, I aim to support sustainable brands and community programs that chart a path towards a nature-rich future for all, tell a bigger meaningful story and foster healthier children, families, communities and cities.
My early career in fashion and corporate advertising gave me crucial experience and insights into cultivating a collaborative culture and building robust relationships with communities from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. I actively engaged with multidisciplinary teams, including marketing strategists, creative directors, and designers across Asia, Europe, and North America, driving successful projects and initiatives.
I honed skills in Community Organizing · Community Outreach · Inclusive Team Building · Cross-functional Team Leadership · Public Relations · Face-to-face Communication · Strategic Partnerships · Strategic Initiatives · Strategic Collaboration · Active Listening · Leadership · Public Narrative.
With a background in design, fine arts, and architectural history from my studies in Toronto and Paris, I strategically transitioned from fashion to advertising. This pivot led me to join the design & communication agency Mamone & Partners in Toronto, where I applied my creative skills to national and global projects. As an Executive Producer, I performed a dual role, leading both creative concept development and managing all aspects of photographic production. I had the privilege to collaborate with the best talent in the industry to develop and produce evocative advertising, build brands and award-winning editorial content for luxury and lifestyle: Holt Renfrew, Hudson’s Bay Company, Mercedes Benz, LCBO, Birks and Mayors, Indigo Chapters, Fashion Television Magazine, Fashion Quarterly, Style & Fashion, Mulberry, Bayview Village, Yorkdale Shopping Centre, HomeSense, Winners … among many others.
I acknowledge that I live, work and play on the Traditional Territories of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak and Attawandaron peoples.
